Plant an Olive Tree in Israel
Support the new Israeli pioneers, help develop settlements in the Negev
Have a tree planted on your behalf, by Students from Israel and Abroad, Build Village in the Negev.
The Ayalim Association was founded in September 2002 by a group of young army veterans, who set out to strengthen the settlement movement in the Negev and the Galilee, while educating towards Zionist goals, promoting young entrepreneurship in preferred areas in Israel and nurturing the values of the connection between man and land, and between man and society in Israel.
Today, there are 200 students taking part in the association's programs, out of 5,000 candidates. In the first students' and entrepreneurs' village - Adiel Village -in Ashalim, 30 students have been residing this past year. During the summer vacation, hundreds of students and volunteers from all around the country have been building, with their own two hands, the expansion of the village, in order to enable 70 students to move in by the beginning of October.
Driven by tremendous enthusiasm and faith, we are today reviving the dreams of our parents and grandparents, by building the country; a mission that has now been passed on to our generation.
Thousands of students making a commitment to the development of the Negev and the Galilee are fueling the revolution these areas need. It is a sight that gives hope and inspiration, and we invite you to come here soon to witness first-hand how this amazing project is evolving. We would like taking this opportunity to express our deep gratitude to the VIP mission of the Allied Jewish federation who were the first ones to really believed in the project. The money you donated with love and devotion to Kfar Adiel is a big contribution to the project and we deeply appreciate your support and trust.
The Trees will be planted in Ashalim Settlement
Ayalim Association is currently turning the Adiel Student Village into a new point of reference for young people in the Negev, by turning the village into a springboard for self-fulfillment in the fields of settlement, social action and entrepreneurship. In order to bring this about, the Association has begun erecting permanent buildings on Ashalim, which will turn the student village into a permanent settlement that will house 200 students, and will also include public buildings that will benefit the students, the residents of the region and young people from all over the country who are looking for a place from which they can go forth to fulfill their dreams. The aim is to turn the village into the heart of the Association, the permanent home of the movement. We would like to continue to change awareness, and shift the perceptions of young people of the country and those active in the field of settlement and development of the Negev, by turning the village into a central point for activities and fresh initiatives, by attracting entrepreneurs and social activists from all over the country to the village. In order to do this the Association is looking into erecting public buildings, in addition to the housing structures, which will be used by the various entrepreneurs and activists from all over the Negev. The aim is to turn the village into a center for both external and internal factors in the Negev, a center which will embody our vision, a place to hold conventions regarding the future of the Negev, a place that high school students will visit on their yearly field trip, and where entrepreneurship courses will be held. Our goal is for the Ashalim Student Village to attract young people interested in settling in the Negev, to establish enterprises in the Negev, and to work for the good of society, education and employment in the region. The Association will at the same time work towards settling other nuclear groups that grow out of Ashalim, but Ashalim will be the heart and soul of the Association and its work.
Today we are completing the second stage of building of the permanent settlement on Ashalim, 25 housing units for 50 students. The Association is in need of assistance for the second and third stage building of the permanent settlement, including building of additional housing units.
